Location: US-based; onsite, hybrid, or remote (East coast working hours) options available depending on experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- External Communication: Develop and implement strategies to enhance external awareness and visibility of Inventiva’s mission and achievements through various channels, including corporate and executive social media, press releases, and op-eds.
- Internal Communication: Facilitate effective internal communication to ensure alignment across departments, fostering a cohesive understanding of company initiatives and goals.
- Event and Conference Management: Lead planning and management of events and conferences, including logistics, registration tracking, and booth management, ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Patient Advocacy: Support patient engagement initiatives, advocating for their needs and perspectives within the organization and in external communications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to gather insights, share information, and drive cohesive messaging and initiatives.
- Grants and Sponsorships Management: Oversee the tracking and management of grants and sponsorship opportunities, ensuring compliance and alignment with company goals.
- Information Tracking: Maintain comprehensive records of communications, events, and sponsorships to facilitate transparency and accessibility of information.
- Content Development: Create compelling copy and graphic design materials for various platforms, ensuring all content aligns with the company’s branding and communication goals.
- Vendor and Budget Management: Manage relationships with vendors and oversee budgeting for communications initiatives, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to communication challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, liberal arts, business, or a science-oriented field (or international equivalent).
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in or working with biotech or pharmaceutical company.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
- Positive, approachable demeanor with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in corporate communications, including corporate writing and adherence to branding guidelines.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools.
- Knowledge of WordPress is a plus.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry communication standards.
- Proven ability to proactively manage projects and develop creative solutions.
- Bilingual in English and French is a plus.
- Writing samples available upon request.
Additional Details:
- Travel, both locally and internationally, may be required.
- Hybrid or remote options will be considered based on experience.
