About

Inventiva

Our Mission

At Inventiva, we are united in developing differentiated treatments for MASH and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected.

Recognizing that MASH is not just a liver disease but also a cardiometabolic condition, we have purposefully designed a potential oral therapy — currently in clinical development — intended to restore metabolic balance at the source and directly target inflammation and fibrosis.

Our goal is to bring relief to patients across the MASH patient population, addressing a critical unmet need in a progressive and life-threatening disease.

Our product candidate, lanifibranor, has been granted FDA Breakthrough Therapy Designation and is now being evaluated in a global Phase 3 clinical trial.

Our Commitment

Three principles that drive every decision we make or principles that guide our approach to MASH

Scientific Excellence

Driven by a relentless pursuit of scientific innovation, we strive to accelerate and advance potential solutions in MASH — applying rigorous methodology at every stage of our research and development.

Discovery to Development

Our multidisciplinary team spans the full pipeline — from molecular discovery through clinical advancement — ensuring no insight is ever lost in translation.

Patient Urgency

MASH does not wait. Neither do we. Every milestone we achieve is driven by our commitment to reaching patients who need new treatment options as quickly as possible

Our Team

Experience and compassion, united by purpose

An experienced team

Our scientists, clinicians, and development professionals bring deep expertise in metabolic liver disease. This collective experience enables us to navigate the complexity of MASH drug development with rigor and scientific confidence.

Compassion for those affected

Behind every data point is a person living with MASH. Our commitment to those affected by this progressive disease shapes how we prioritize our work, how we move through research and development, and the standards to which we hold ourselves accountable.
